So... Why choose Farmfix?

a brief history of the Man himself.....

Born in the UK many years ago, Mark Foster arrived in New Zealand in 1983, completed his schooling in the Wellington/Kapiti Coast region and moved to the Waikato to start a Dairying career in the very early 1990's.

After years of Dairying, Mark is currently engaged to Sue, Dad to Jess, and still full-time farming....

a brief history...

After 6 months assisting on a 180-cow farm, Mark started his theory learning at Waikato Polytechnic, completing several courses:

Certificate in Agriculture (highest marks in the course in its history at the time) - Waikato Times Gold Medal and Dairy Exporter prize for Top Student.

Herd Management A & B.

Trade Certificate in Farming.

Farm Business Management.

Advanced Trade Certificate in Farming.

During this time, Mark was also running daily operations on farm and getting a dose of practical learning... always sole charge, as either Farm Manager, Contract Milker or Lower Order Sharemilker.

In 2007, 50/50 Sharemilking beckoned and with 220 cows under the banner of Stormview Holstein Friesians, production records were both set and bettered over the 9 years on farm.

13 different farms, 13 different farming systems, 13 farm production records (4 on the same farm) .... Thousands of different problems requiring solutions......the experience gained has paid off, and the knowledge has helped take the next step again and again.

Over the years, Mark has assisted farming friends with problems and helped people improve their herds by selecting sires for them - breeding is a passion he has had for a long time - and the progress made has been obvious and appreciated.

Mark has also assembled a trusted group of problem-solvers who are the first port of call when the answer is outside his knowledge base. With Farmfix, not only do you have access to the information Mark carries, you also have access to this team of trusted providers who are known for their results.

So if you are on a new farm and have encountered a bunch of problems, or, if you have been on the same farm for years and something has snuck up on you and is causing a problem you can't beat, give Farmfix a call..

We CAN help!
